£ 108million transfer windfall Chelsea could receive to help fund Ashraf Hakimi deal
Chelsea could look to sell up to six players this summer as Roman Abramovich seeks to fund a major move for Inter Milan star Achraf Hakimi.
According to Air sports, the west London club have launched a £ 56.1million offer for Hakimi, a figure that matches what Paris Saint-Germain have offered the Morocco international.
However, the Blues would have an advantage with Inter wanting to loan Emerson Palmieri and they also like Andreas Christensen.
football.London Understand that any move for Hakimi will not be straightforward, with ex-club Real Madrid believed to have an equal right to any potential transfer from the defender over the next two years.
The Sky Sports report also states that the Milan-based club are seeking £ 68.8million for the 22-year-old, which is around £ 12.7million more than what Chelsea have offered.
In that case, the Blues may need to increase their supply – and those funds could be raised by players with uncertain futures at Stamford Bridge.
According to Star of the day, Chelsea are open for sale from Emerson, Marcos Alonso, Fikayo Tomori, Tammy Abraham, Ross Barkley and Michy Batshuayi this summer.
Tomori is set to leave the club permanently very soon, with AC Milan set to trigger the £ 25million clause in his loan deal at San Siro.
Meanwhile, Emerson – which is valued at £ 10.8million on Transfermarkt – would be a target for Inter, as well as for Napoli, with the left-back far in the pecking order of Thomas Tuchel.
Another left-back who could leave West London is Alonso, who shares the same value as Emerson, With Ben Chilwell asserting himself as Tuchel’s first choice after outstanding performances for Chelsea throughout the 2020/21 season.
Abraham is another player who has been linked with a move away from the European Champions. The 23-year-old striker ended the last campaign as Chelsea’s top scorer in all competitions, but under Tuchel his minutes on the pitch were massively restricted.
The Blues center forward has shown his skills in front of goal during his time in the Premier League, meaning he won’t be available for cheap, with its value at £ 34.2 million.
Abraham’s teammate Barkley is another man linked with a summer move after spending the 2020/21 season on loan at Aston Villa. The Liverpool-born midfielder started his loan spell at Villa Park superbly but has slowed down somewhat as the tenure has progressed. Transfermarkt values the 27-year-old at £ 18million.
The summer window is officially open and the Blues can now rely on European glory and strengthen the team to push for Premier League supremacy.

Batshuayi completed several loan spells during his time at Stamford Bridge, after arriving from Marseille in 2016.
Now, with the Belgian striker entering the final 12 months of his contract, this is Chelsea’s last real chance to sell him and receive money for his services. Its value may not accurately reflect its capacity at £ 9million due to its contractual status.
In total, these players are worth £ 82.8million, with the £ 25million clause announced by Tomori, which then totals £ 107.8million.
