‘Building a squad’ – Spurs alumnus opens up about Joshua-Usyk fight at club stadium – Spurs Web
Ramon Vega took to social media to appeal to Tottenham’s board to put together a squad that matches the club’s world-class stadium.
The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has been operational for just over two years, but the pandemic has caused the majority of matches at the venue to be played behind closed doors.
The club have been able to welcome fans to the site this season and they hope to make up for lost revenue over the past year and a half.
The world heavyweight title clash between Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk would certainly have helped rebuild the club, with the stadium full on Saturday night.
Some Spurs fans on social media have complained that the venue is being used for events such as boxing, accusing club ownership of putting money before success.
Vega has now called on the club to invest the money they earn from events such as the Joshua-Usyk fight in the playing team.
Here’s what the former Spurs defender tweeted: ‘I really hope this will bring in a lot of money for Spurs to spend on gamers in January or next summer… now that the infrastructure is complete, we know it is world class! so build a team now to match that reputation.

Spurs web opinion
Honestly, I don’t understand the fans who are complaining about the stadium which hosts events like the one on Saturday. Unless we’re taken over by a Roman Abramovich / Sheikh Mansour type owner who wants to throw endless money at the team, the only way to compete with the big boys in the long run is to increase income. matches.
