Niklas Sule for free
The latest reports from the continent hint at problems in negotiations between Bayern Munich and the center-half for a new contract, which could open up the possibility for Chelsea to poach the 26-year-old on a free transfer.
This was reported by Sport Witness who quoted Sport 1 reporter Florian Plettenberg as saying the player had “requests” from England.
Chelsea have long been credited with an interest in the German center-back, who coach Thomas Tuchel is believed to be a big fan of.
Marina Granovskaia has tried to go for Jules Kounde in the summer transfer window but could revisit that potential deal in the next January transfer window as it could save the club £ 68million.
It is believed that most of the interest in Sule is primarily driven by Tuchel himself who believes he is the necessary option to take his defensive unit to the next level.
Romelu Lukaku disagrees with manager Thomas Tuchel
Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku agrees with Antonio Conte’s take on how to get the most out of him amid the ongoing debate surrounding the Belgian debut for his second stint in England.
Lukaku, 28, has so far scored four goals in all competitions for the European champions since signing in the later stages of Inter Milan’s summer transfer window in a record-breaking contract club fees totaling £ 97.5million.
Despite a relatively good start to life in SW6, the prolific talisman unexpectedly goes through an arid run past the unscored goal in his last five matches for the Blues, which will be a slight concern for fans.
“The way I’m built – I’m quite tall – everyone thinks I’m kind of a target man: just holding the ball and being a poacher,” he told UEFA.com via The Mirror .
“But I’ve never played that way and I hate it. My greatest strength is that I’m dangerous when I’m on target, because that’s when I rarely make bad choices. “

Saul Niguez must “grow” and develop
Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel has admitted that current underprivileged midfielder Saul Niguez needs time to ‘grow’ and develop amid mounting frustrations over lack of playing time in the West from London.
Saul, 26, failed to start as another rookie Romelu Lukaku who has had a much bigger impact so far in SW6 than the Spaniard.
The two-time Europa League winner has suffered two disastrous starts, one in the Premier League and one in the Carabao Cup.
“Now we have added Saul and Ruben Loftus-Cheek to the group, and we have more possibilities. They have to evolve in the same game understanding what we want,” said Tuchel.
