Chelsea to complete shock raid on Liverpool as Wonderkid drops huge transfer clue
Liverpool youngster Ethan Ennis has hinted he is set to leave the club and complete a move to Chelsea this summer.
Jurgen Klopp has overseen a string of young talent in Anfield’s first team in recent years, with the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Curtis Jones and Neco Williams among those who have carved out a place for themselves in the squad in recent seasons.
However, 16-year-old Ennis appears ready to turn down a deal with Liverpool and move away from the North West after posting a photo on his Instagram Story at Cobham’s training ground in Chelsea.
Ennis showed what he can do on the pitch in March, replacing Liverpool’s Under-18s and scoring a hat-trick against Sutton United.
The 16-year-old has previously been linked with a move to Liverpool rivals Manchester United and although it is unclear whether an agreement has been reached between Ennis and Chelsea over a move.
The Blues currently have a contingent of first-team players that shows their commitment to advancing academy talent.
People like Mason Mount and Reece James have become valuable members of the squad in recent years, with the club marking a notable change from the early days of Roman Abramovich‘s reign as president.
The Blues are expected to be active in the transfer market this summer, with players like Achraf Hakimi and Erling Haaland with serious ties to the first team.
