First exclusive video: SEABASS “Always Kidding” (2021)

Adelaide-based independent rock quartet SEA BASS have dropped “Always Kidding”, the title track from their debut EP. It’s a beautifully emotional song, with warm harmonies and a heartwarming nostalgic feel. We’re excited to get the first glimpse of the video for “Always Kidding,” which has a strong visual skillfully complementing the tone of the track.
Video was produced by photographer and visual creator Morgan sette. He follows the group through the interior north of Adelaide, as well as Port Adelaide.
Flik freeman of SEABASS says of Sette’s contribution: “Morgan has done an amazing job of seamlessly transforming what started out as a questionable phone video into something smooth and personal. She’s created a healthier glimpse of what it’s like to be in a group with your friends when you spend a lot of time hanging out (but we’re a lot less active in real life)! “
The group was formed after a one-off concert with no less than Pussy riot in 2019. Composed of Annie siegmann on vocals, sound engineer and guitarist Ryan martin john, Flik freeman on bass and Kyrie Anderson on drums, the group creates exciting waves with their moving lyrics and instrumental prowess. Three of them have jazz backgrounds, which for my money always increases the quality of musicianship regardless of the style of music.
If you’re lucky enough to be in Adelaide, the band is playing a concert on February 27 to celebrate the EP launch. Details and links for tickets are below.
