Jose Mourinho earned £ 50million more than any other manager just after being sacked

Jose Mourinho won almost £ 100million just after being sacked in the Premier League, a new study has revealed.
Mourinho has had four distinct periods in English football, the first to come when he switched to Chelsea in 2004 and called himself “the special”.
After winning back-to-back Premier League titles, two League Cups and the FA Cup, he was sacked in 2007 amid reports of a behind-the-scenes dispute with owner Roman Abramovich.
Six years later the Portuguese returned to Stamford Bridge and made them champions again in 2015, only to get things going really fast again.

In a calamitous defense of their crown, in which they languished near the relegation zone over Christmas, Abramovich once again dropped his bloodied ax on Mourinho.
It didn’t take long for him to seal a return to the English top flight, however, the following summer, Manchester United decided to hand him the reins of Old Trafford.

Yet despite their League Cup and Europa League triumphs in his debut season, not to mention a second place finish in the Premier League the following year, Mourinho suffered his typical third-season collapse and was again without Christmas job in 2018.
Tottenham came to call the following year, but it proved to be their most fruitless position of the lot, without earning any silverware before Daniel Levy delivered his P45 in April.

Mourinho has received the boot four times in the Premier League, and new research from 101 Great Goals shows he has almost collected £ 100million in compensation as a result.
According to their data, the former Real Madrid and Inter manager took in £ 97,674,480 after being sacked by Chelsea, United and Spurs.
That figure is just over £ 50million more than the manager with the second-highest Premier League compensation, Mauricio Pochettino.

Pochettino is said to have raised the astronomical sum of £ 45,806,849 from his dismissal as Spurs boss, which paved the way for Mourinho’s takeover.
Antonio Conte, who recently took over at the north London club, is third on the list after receiving £ 22,971,507 from his dismissal at Chelsea, while Harry Redknapp earned £ 20,395,803 in compensation from Portsmouth and Spurs.
