Roman Abramovich’s plans make Robert Lewandowski’s £ 50million move decision to Chelsea even easier

Chelsea’s search for a new striker has linked them with a move to Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich.
It’s no secret that the Blues’ first choice target is Borussia Dortmund prodigy Erling Haaland, although it could cost £ 150million to secure a deal in the current transfer window.
As a result, Chelsea apparently keep their options open, to the point that they are now, according to reports, weighing a lot of money for Lewandowski.
Furthermore, it is claimed that the club are considering a £ 50million deal for the Bayern striker, who is considered one of the most prolific center-forward of his generation.
While Chelsea struggled to score goals last season, it’s no surprise that links with Lewandowski have emerged.
However, that doesn’t mean they are expected to make a deal for the 32-year-old this summer – and it has nothing to do with the age of the Poland international.
But it could instead hurt their own chances of signing Haaland this summer or next summer.
New Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn has already revealed the club’s intentions towards the Norway international and that should put Chelsea on alert.
“A package which costs – as we have heard – more than 100 million euros is unimaginable for FC Bayern at the moment,” he said, speaking to Sport Bild earlier in the year. “Robert [Lewandowski] still has a two-year contract here. Its performance cannot be questioned. He scored 39 goals [in the Bundesliga] until now!
“Just for that, we don’t have to think about Haaland today. Robert can keep that level for a few more years.”
At the end of next season, the 20-year-old’s release clause of € 75m (£ 64m) will go into effect and the current Bundesliga champions could afford that financial package, especially if they are selling Lewandowski for £ 50million.
Also, letting the Pole go means they should sign a replacement and it’s clear they have Haaland in mind.
Swapping the Signal Iduna Park for the Allianz Arena is a route Lewandowski, Mario Gotze, and Mats Hummels have all taken over the years and who can say Haaland wouldn’t be next?
The summer window is officially open and the Blues can now rely on European glory and strengthen the team to push for Premier League supremacy.

Chelsea can prevent that from happening.
After all, It has been reported that Blues owner Roman Abramovich has has agreed to pay Haaland whatever he wants to seal a move to Stamford Bridge.
So with that plan in place, coupled with Bayern ready to pounce, it’s even easier to make the decision not to make a £ 50million deal for Lewandowski.
