Compared to the experiences of the long list of alumni Chelsea managers under Roman Abramovich, Tuchel’s time at Stamford Bridge has been straightforward. However, a report from Daily Star revealed a second episode of player agitation is on his plate.

The newspaper affirms that the American striker Christian Pulisic is “not happy” with the Blues.

His main problem stems from his lack of regular playing time. The 23-year-old has missed a lot of time this season contracting Covid-19 and injuring his ankle.

However, when in good form, he struggles to find minutes on the pitch. This is nothing new for the winger who has never lived up to his £ 57.8million price tag.

Pulisic remains the jewel of American football and scored for his country as the United States beat Mexico 2-0 on Saturday. But at Chelsea, tough competition from Kai Havertz, Mason Mount, Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech held back his development.

As such, the star claims he looks like “the strange man” right now. Additionally, they say he “expected to play a much bigger role” when he initially signed to be Eden Hazard’s successor.

Cash-strapped Barcelona interim interest is cited in the article. Although the likelihood of Chelsea sanctioning an exit in January is slim.

The Blues are tough on four fronts this season, which makes high-quality team depth essential. As such, the report suggests Tuchel could give Pulisic a chance to shine over the next few weeks in what they describe as a ‘pass or break’ period in his Chelsea career.

This report quickly follows further unrest between players regarding Antonio Rudiger.

The German central defender’s contractual situation remains in limbo and no progress has been made on his contract which expires next summer. A recent report claimed that the club The latest offer was treated as a ‘slap in the face’ by Rudiger after the financial aspects came to light.

Abramovich dreams of signing for Barcelona

Meanwhile, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is reportedly ready to sanction a € 50million transfer for a Barcelona prodigy who may have other ideas, according to a report.

One midfielder who is now on their radar, according to El Nacional, is Barcelona talent Gavi. The 17-year-old entered Barca’s first team this season. Despite his young age, he quickly rose to the challenge. He has been entrusted with 10 La Liga appearances, including seven starts, so far.

It didn’t take long for Gavi to be linked with a move away from Barcelona. In the midst of their financial difficulties, one of their players faces an uncertain future.

Therefore, El Nacional claim Chelsea are ready to make a € 50million move for Gavi as his release clause for that award remains active. Under such conditions, it would be a “theft”, it is claimed.

Abramovich is so fascinated by Gavi that he would be willing to make him one of Chelsea’s highest paid players. He sees him as a “dream” signing and is convinced that he will become a “world star”.

However, the report adds that Chelsea’s window of opportunity to take on Gavi may be about to close. Barcelona are trying to extend their contract beyond its 2023 expiration date.

In addition, Gavi has made it his own “priority” to renew at Camp Nou. In doing so, he could sign conditions until 2026 which would see his release clause automatically doubled.
